Implementation of the Head of State’s Address Discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Astana, 4 November 2026 – A meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Tileuberdi. The meeting focused on the practical implementation of the objectives outlined in President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s Address to the People of Kazakhstan, entitled “Kazakhstan’s Current Priorities in a New Historical Cycle”, as well as on the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for Information and Image-Building Activities aimed at explaining and promoting the key messages of the Address abroad.

Opening the meeting, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that this year’s Address carries profound symbolic significance, as it was delivered in the year marking the 35th anniversary of the country’s Independence. It outlines the key priorities and directions for Kazakhstan’s further development, as well as its strategic goals and objectives.

Minister Tileuberdi emphasized that all current and future activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must be mobilized and coordinated towards implementing the President’s Address. The document is intended to serve as a guiding framework for the day-to-day work of the Ministry’s central office and all overseas missions, ensuring a unified strategic direction for the country’s foreign policy initiatives.

Kazakhstan will continue its consistent policy of strengthening good-neighbourly relations, developing its transit and logistics potential, and deepening industrial cooperation with strategic partners.

A key priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kazakhstan’s overseas missions is attracting investment and localizing production. This involves actively identifying potential investors, facilitating the transfer of technologies and know-how within the framework of the “Nationwide Major Construction Initiative”, and ensuring the comprehensive equipping of social, engineering and transport infrastructure facilities.

The Minister drew the attention of heads of overseas missions to the importance of attracting foreign partners to projects in digitalization, artificial intelligence and green energy. He also highlighted the need to further promote the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and other transit corridors running through Kazakhstan.

Following the Collegium meeting, the issues related to the practical implementation of the National Action Plan for implementing the President’s Address were discussed in detail. Progress in implementing the provisions of the Address will remain under the constant supervision of the Ministry’s leadership.

The Collegium meeting was held via videoconference, with the participation of heads of structural divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as heads of Kazakhstan’s embassies and permanent missions abroad.
