1. What cookies are
- Cookies are small text files stored in the browser of the User's device when the Site is visited. They allow the Site to recognise the browser on subsequent visits and to perform its functions correctly.
- This Policy forms part of the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use and explains which cookies the Site uses, for what purpose and how to manage them.
- Using the Site with a browser that accepts cookies constitutes the User's agreement to the use of cookies to the extent and for the purposes set out in this Policy. The User may disable cookies in the browser settings, although some features of the Site will then be unavailable.
2. Cookies used by the Site
The Site uses the minimum set of cookies required for it to work. Analytical cookies are used only with the User's consent; advertising and tracking cookies are not used.
| Name | Purpose | Term | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
news-portal-session | Session identifier: keeping the signed-in state and the selected language, and protecting forms | up to 120 minutes of inactivity | required |
XSRF-TOKEN | Protection against cross-site request forgery when forms are submitted | up to 120 minutes of inactivity | required |
cookie_consent | Stores the User's decision about analytical cookies | up to 180 days | required |
remember_web_* | Automatic sign-in where the User selected “Remember me” at sign-in | up to 400 days | functional, set only by the User's choice |
- Required cookies are necessary for the Site to work. Without them, signing in, form protection and retaining the selected interface language are impossible. The
cookie_consentcookie stores the User's decision and prevents the prompt from being shown again. - Functional cookies store the User's choices and are not used to collect information about the User's interests. The “Remember me” cookie is set only when the User explicitly chooses it and can be deleted at any time.
- Analytical cookies are set only after the User agrees in the prompt shown on the first visit. No analytics script is loaded before that consent, and if the User refuses, no analytical cookies are set.
- Analytics is used to understand which content is in demand and to improve the Site. It processes anonymised technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed and time of the visit. The data is never used for advertising profiling.
- The analytics services in use are listed in section 3. The decision can be changed at any time: the “Change cookie settings” link is in the Site footer. After a change the prompt is shown again and the
cookie_consentcookie is rewritten. - The Site sets no advertising, tracking or social cookies. There are no pixels or advertising identifiers on the Site's pages.
- The name of the session cookie is determined by the application settings and may be changed by the Site owner without changing the cookie's purpose.
3. External resources
- To display fonts, the Site's pages request the Google Fonts web font service. When a font is loaded, the service receives the IP address of the device and technical information about the browser. That service does not set its own cookies when loading fonts, but the request is recorded on its side.
- Analytics services are embedded as external resources: Yandex Metrica (YANDEX LLC, privacy policy: yandex.ru/legal/confidential) and Google Analytics (Google LLC, privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy). These services receive the IP address, browser and device information, and data about the pages viewed — but only after the User has agreed to analytical cookies.
- The Site's administration panel, accessible only to editorial staff, uses an external rich-text editor library and web fonts. This library is not loaded when public pages of the Site are viewed.
- Content on the Site may contain links to external resources, including pages of state bodies. The Site owner is not responsible for how those resources use cookies and process data; the User should review their privacy policies.
4. Managing cookies
- The User may delete stored cookies and prevent them from being set in the browser settings, using the “Privacy”, “Security” or “Cookies” sections of the relevant browser.
- Disabling required cookies will make signing in impossible and may disrupt some features of the Site. Public pages will remain available.
- Deleting the “Remember me” cookie stops automatic sign-in; the email address and password will be required for the next sign-in.
- Restricting the loading of web fonts through browser settings may change how pages are displayed without affecting access to content.
5. Changes to this Policy
- The Site owner may amend this Policy. A new version is published at https://www.montenegro.kz/en/pages/cookies and takes effect upon publication.
- If new services that set cookies are introduced, the list of cookies used and this Policy are updated before they are used, and the consent version is raised so that Users are asked to confirm their decision again.
- The date of the last update is shown on the page in the “Last updated” block.
