During the working trip of Akim of the Kyzylorda region Murat Ergeshbayev to Karmakshi district, a seminar-meeting was held on the diversification of crop production, efficient use of water resources and the widespread introduction of water-saving technologies.
The event was attended by akims of Kyzylorda city and districts, heads of regional administrations and departments, regional development institutions and financial organizations, representatives of agricultural enterprises and industry specialists.
In his Message to the people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State instructed to pay special attention to the development of deep processing of agricultural products, noting successful projects in this direction.
In particular, the President cited the example of farms in the Kyzylorda region, which, despite the difficult climatic conditions, grow corn and soybeans, as well as process them. He stressed the need to spread best practices throughout the country and provide timely support to investors.
During the trip, the head of the region got acquainted with the work in the corn field, as well as with the exhibition of agricultural seeds and mineral fertilizers.
The meeting discussed issues of optimizing the structure of crops in conditions of water scarcity, increasing the area of moisture-dependent and less water-intensive crops, as well as the introduction of modern agricultural technologies.
"The diversification of acreage will not only reduce the burden on water resources, but also increase the incomes of agricultural producers, develop new industries and make full use of the potential of the agro-industrial complex. The Government is expanding state support measures, increasing the availability of financial resources for agricultural producers, and creating conditions for the sustainable development of the industry. Thanks to the systematic work in agriculture, there is a positive trend, the volume of gross output increases annually," Murat Ergeshbayev said.
As a result of the seminar, specific tasks were set to improve the efficiency of agricultural production, diversify acreage, rational use of water resources and expand corn crops.
The heads of relevant departments were instructed to ensure control over the planned crop volumes for the coming years, increase water use efficiency and continue work on a systematic basis to diversify crop production.

Positive results have also been noted in the introduction of water-saving technologies. Last year, moisture-saving technologies were used on an area of 8.1 thousand hectares, this year this figure has reached 14.2 thousand hectares. In addition, laser alignment was carried out on 65,000 hectares of agricultural land.
With the support of the Head of State, more than 34 billion tenge has been allocated for the diversification of crop production and the widespread introduction of water-saving technologies in the Kyzylorda region for 2026-2028. Of this amount, 10 billion tenge has been allocated for the current year.
