Today, a large-scale agricultural fair titled “Gifts of the Steppe – 2026” was organized along S. Suleimenov Street in the settlement of Zhosaly.
The event, which became a true celebration of abundance, was attended by District Akim Zhandos Yerkinbek, veterans and representatives of the intellectual community, who had the opportunity to explore products offered by local farmers.
Farmers from all settlements and rural districts of the area brought more than 105 tonnes of agricultural products to the fair using 48 vehicles.
In particular, the fair offered 21 tonnes of white rice, 72 tonnes of melons, vegetables and fruits, 5.3 tonnes of fish, 0.8 tonnes of meat, as well as traditional Kazakh dishes, dairy products, honey, confectionery and various homemade products.
In addition, 5 tonnes of livestock feed (compound feed, rice residues, chopped feed and rice bran), 1,300 units of animal feed products, and 10 head of sheep and goats were put up for sale.
As part of the event, which became a celebration of prosperity and hard work, local performers delighted residents with beautiful songs and traditional Kazakh instrumental melodies, creating a festive atmosphere for everyone in attendance.
