Today, the traditional “Golden Autumn – 2026” festive event, dedicated to reviewing the results of the agricultural year, was held at the District House of Culture named after Shamshat Tolepova. The event was attended by District Akim Zhandos Yerkinbek, who congratulated agricultural workers on this meaningful occasion.
In his speech, the Head of the District highlighted the issues raised in the Address of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the people of Kazakhstan on October 28 this year, entitled “Current Priorities of Kazakhstan at a New Historical Stage”. Particular attention was paid to the development of agriculture, deep processing of agricultural products, the introduction of modern technologies and the efficient use of water resources. He also emphasized the need to consistently continue efforts to improve crop production and ensure the effective use of water resources.
This year, rice was cultivated on 11,449 hectares of land in the district, yielding 57,000 tonnes of produce. For the first time, grain maize was planted on an area of 733 hectares, while water-saving technologies were introduced on 600 hectares of cultivated land.
During the festive event, a number of individuals who have made significant contributions to the agricultural sector were presented with Letters of Appreciation from the Regional Akim and the District Akim, as well as Certificates of Honour from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The official gathering concluded with a concert programme featuring local performers. The evening, filled with beautiful songs and traditional Kazakh kuis, brought joy and lifted the spirits of everyone in attendance.
It is worth noting that this year, the historic Karmakshy District was awarded the title of “Best District” at the traditional regional “Golden Autumn – 2026” festival in recognition of its outstanding performance in the development of agriculture and the agro-industrial complex.
