According to the World Justice Project (WJP) 2026 ranking, Kazakhstan ranked 41st out of 143 countries, ahead of France, Italy, Portugal, Georgia, and Turkey. Since 2023, the country has improved its position by three places. Moreover, the number of registered crimes decreased by 15% in the first nine months of 2026.
