DIGITAL LITERACY FOR EVERYONE

DIGITAL LITERACY FOR EVERYONE

In Semey, the free digital literacy training program is being expanded. Specialists from the Abai Region branch of the "Government for Citizens" State Corporation are now conducting classes not only for visitors to the Public Service Centers (PSCs) but also for schoolchildren. This initiative is part of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.

As of September 2026, 10 city schools have joined the program. In the first month alone, specialists from the Abai Region branch held sessions for approximately 300 students.

"Today, many government services can be accessed from the comfort of one's own home. However, this requires the ability to use digital tools. That is why we are conducting classes for both the older generation and schoolchildren," noted Zhibek Zhadrina, Director of the Abai Region branch of the "Government for Citizens" State Corporation.

The classes are designed to develop children's digital skills, introduce them to the capabilities of modern digital services, and teach them how to apply technology in their daily lives.

Meanwhile, free courses for adults continue to be offered at Public Service Center (PSC) No. 2 in Semey. The training began this spring and is still ongoing, with more than 200 people having participated to date.

As a reminder, free sessions for residents are held every Wednesday and Friday from 15:00 to 17:00 at PSC No. 2 in Semey, located at 22 B. Momyshuly Street.
